Unstuck

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Unstuck is a private matching service for founders. You describe a decision you are stuck on, we match you with another founder stuck on something similar, and we book you both a short call.

This policy explains what we collect, why, where it goes, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Unstuck is operated by Durva Mathure, based in San Francisco, California. You can reach us at hello@jointableforone.com.

The short version

  • We collect what you tell us: your email, what you are building, when you are free, and what you are stuck on.
  • When you record yourself, the audio is sent to Google to be turned into text, and then deleted. We never store your audio.
  • The text is sent to OpenAI to be organised into a written brief.
  • Your brief is private. It is only ever shown to the people you are matched with, after they accept the match.
  • We never put the contents of your brief in an email.
  • You can delete your account, and everything in it, at any time from Settings.

What we collect

Your account
Your email address, your name, and an encrypted version of your password. We never store your password itself.

Your profile
A short description of what you are building, your stage, your timezone, and your working hours.

Your availability
The days and times you have said you can take a call, and how far ahead you are willing to be booked.

Your briefs
The four parts of what you write or say: what you are building, what you are stuck on, what you have tried, and what you want from the conversation. Plus the category it is filed under and how long your recording was.

Your sessions
When a session is scheduled, which times you marked as acceptable, whether you accepted or declined, any reason you gave for declining or cancelling, and the meeting link.

Your messages
Anything you write in a session's message thread.

Your outcomes
The one line you write about what you decided, whether you followed through, and any note you add.

Sign-in records
Active sign-in sessions, and a short-lived record of failed sign-in attempts. Failed attempts store the email address used, so we can stop someone repeatedly guessing a password. These records are deleted automatically within an hour.

Your voice recording

This is the part worth reading carefully.

When you record yourself describing a problem, the audio is captured in your browser, converted, and sent in short segments to Google's Gemini model to be transcribed. This happens through Floot's AI service.

We never store your audio. It is not written to our database or to any file storage. Once it has been transcribed, it is gone from our side.

The resulting text is then sent to OpenAI's model, again through Floot, to be organised into the four parts of your brief and to generate the clarifying questions you are asked.

Once you approve your brief, we do not keep the raw transcript either. Only the four parts you approved are stored.

We do not control what Google or OpenAI do with data sent to them through Floot's service. If that matters to you, read Floot's terms and those providers' terms before recording. If you would rather not have your voice processed this way, type your brief instead. Typing skips the audio step entirely.

Who else sees your data

People you are matched with. Your brief is shown to the other people in a session, and only after they have accepted the match. Nobody can browse briefs. There is no feed and no directory.

Nobody else. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to train models of our own.

Services we rely on

  • Floot hosts the app, the database and the sign-in system, and routes our AI requests. They process everything stored in Unstuck.
  • Google receives your audio for transcription, via Floot.
  • OpenAI receives your brief text for drafting, via Floot.
  • Resend sends our emails, and receives your email address and the contents of those emails.
  • Jitsi provides the video rooms for calls. Calls happen on their service, not ours. We do not record, join or store calls, and what happens on a call is subject to Jitsi's terms.

Email

We only send emails the product needs to work: that you have been matched, that a session is confirmed, moved or cancelled, a reminder before a call, and the two questions afterwards about what you decided.

We never put the contents of a brief in an email, and we do not put names in subject lines. Emails tell you something has happened and link you into the app.

We do not send marketing email from Unstuck.

Cookies

We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. It is required for the app to work.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not send a request to any third party.

How long we keep things

We keep your data for as long as your account exists.

Some things are deleted sooner: your audio is never stored, your raw transcript is discarded when you approve a brief, and failed sign-in records are deleted within an hour.

When you delete your account, everything is deleted. See below.

Your choices

Delete your account. In Settings, at the bottom. This permanently deletes your account, your briefs, your availability, your messages and your outcomes. Any upcoming session you were part of is cancelled and the other person's brief goes back into the queue. It cannot be undone.

Withdraw a brief. Any brief waiting in the queue can be withdrawn before a session is confirmed.

Correct your information. Everything in your profile and availability can be changed in Settings at any time.

Ask us anything. If you want to know what we hold about you, or want a copy of it, email hello@jointableforone.com and we will sort it out.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data, including the right to access, correct, delete or object to our use of it. Email us and we will honour them.

Children

Unstuck is for people running businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
